Futurespace Corp is growing technology company focused on developing innovative solutions in the software and hardware spaces. The company prides itself on attracting top talent and maintaining high employee satisfction to drive growth.

2. Business Problem

However, there are increasing concerns regarding employee turnover, performance variability, and salary disparities within departments.
To ensure continued success, Futurespace Corp needs to optimize employee retention, track employee performance consistently, and maintain fair salary structure across departments.

3. Business Objectives

- Identify trends and patterns in employee retention and turnover.
- Track and evaluate performance across different departments.
- Access the relationship between salary and performance to ensure fairness and employee satisfaction.

5. Key Deliverables

Delivered a MS Excel dashboard generated by PostgreSQL to improve data-driven decision-making.

6. Insights

- This chart shows the top 5 serving employees in Futurespace Corp with David Moore, Frank Smith, Jane Brown, and John Johnson having been in the service for 10 years and Grace Lee 9 years.
- A total of 57 employees are at risk of leaving their jobs based on poor performance reviews. This number was derived from counting the number of employees whose performance score are below the average performance score of 4.09 across department.
- There are 4 main reasons employees leave the company: 11 who left said it was for a Personal reason, 7 said they have gotten a new job, 5 said it was due to Career Growth and 5 Retired..
- Marketing has an average performance score of 4.13, next is Engineering department with 4.1, HR with 4.05 and Sales with 4.
- The total salary expenses for the company is $4,850,000.
- Marketing has the highest salary of $1,840,000; next is the Engineering department with $1,600,000; HR with $830,000 and Sales with $580,000.

7. Recommendations

- Establish the reason why employees leave. From the data, most employees left due to persnal reasons. The company should establish a work-family balance to enable employees to balance work and family life. The company should address any issue that employee raises.
- For employees who are at risk of leaving due to poor performance, the company should organize monthly conference for staff training and also encourage short breaks as well as wellness programs like site gym to improve their mood.
- Salaries allocated to each department should be reviewed. Departments like Marketing and Engineering having more employees with poor performance score below te Avg Performance score are been paid more.
- Futurespace Corp can also introduce a bonus system for those with a consistent higher performance score.
